Coconuts

Natural Jewelry with Patti Coconut

Natural Jewelry with Coconut

CocoRoots coconut jewelry such as coconut earring & coconut rings is made from Brazilian coconuts. We use small nuts, cut the edges and clean the inside out. The material is then polished and shined. Posts for earrings are created from trunk fibers of the palm tree. These posts are 100% natural and will not cause any infection to the ears. Coconut jewelry has been made for generations by people in Africa and South America. The three types of coconut used in the production of the rings and earrings are known as palm oil nuts. The Patti (pah-chee), the Dende (den-day), and the Piasava (pee-ah-sava) palm oil nuts are related to the Tagua nut of Africa, also known as vegetable ivory. When tumbled and polished these types of coconuts reveal the beautiful colors that lay hidden beneath their raw outer surface. Jewelry created from coconut is unique due to the uniqueness of each coconut. The coconut is a wonderful eco-friendly material. The product last for so many years. Its very light and when you wear a coconut ring or earrings you almost cannot feel it’s there.
