Fake ear gauge has been cut and inserted with a stainless steel pin to fit a normal-sized ear hole. Handmade split hook made from water buffalo horn. Creating a “look like” gauge, without expanding the ear.

Above all, carving is the act of using tools to shape an ear stretcher from horn by scraping away portions of that material. Our technique can be applied to any material that is solid enough (we normally use bone, horn or wood).

To hold a form even when pieces have been removed from it, and yet be soft enough for portions to be scraped away with available tools. Carving tends to require much more work than methods using malleable materials.

The Idea of a fake ear gauge is that you can show off with a gauge. You will not really need to stretch your ears for that… just join one part in the front and one part in the back.
